Biography

Alex was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, completed his BA in Communications from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, and was awarded an MA in Philosophy of Religion from Talbot School of Theology in Los Angeles. He returned to the UK, working with Ian Leitch and The Heralds Trust, and launched Reason Why, Scotland's first Christian Apologetics ministry. After nearly ten years of serving in the UK, Alex and his family responded to the global need for evangelism and apologetics support by relocating to west coast USA and launching Reason Why International.

Reason Why International works with churches of different denominations, para-church ministries, christian camps, outdoor centres, universities, bible colleges, and schools. Alex serves as an associate with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) and Josh McDowell Ministries. He has featured on a number of radio programs including Moody radio's Prime Time America, Live with Chris Fabry, RZIM's Just Thinking, and a regular slot on Ireland's LifeFM. Alex first book "A Jigsaw Guide to Making Sense of the World" will be published in 2012 (IVP).

Alex is married to Sheryl, the couple have three children (Sophia, Moriah and Asher), and the family live in San Diego, California.
